Flywheel Effect is a business concept which refers to a business model where each action accumulates to initiate a process with strong momentum that would produce self-reinforcing cycle requiring significantly less effort to sustain than to start. The concept is based on mechanical flywheel and was first introduced by Jim Collins is in his book Good To Great. In engineering flywheel refers to a very heavy wheel or disk which can store large amounts of energy and when started can sustain movement with little external input.
